Failing Pump After A Short Use
By Andrew

Review Posted 08/01/2012
Sometimes this pump pumps water and sometimes does not. I do not know why. The water is deep enough for it to pump yet very often it does not sound like it is working properly and is not pumping water and sometimes it does pump. I only used it up to 10 times, to pump an inch of water mostly and once used it to pump a foot deep of water from a small cellar basement of 6' x 6' and it already is failing. A very unpredictable pump.

Expert Response
Most likely air is getting into the discharge hose and causing it to lose its prime.
