Wayne TSC160 Reviews & Ratings

Works Good

This is a fine product, just not what I needed to pump water out of my new pond to water the new planted grass on the levee. I should have bought a pump with a lot more power. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 5 for my situation.

Gaskets Continue To Fail
By Bob

Review Posted 07/03/2016
We purchased this pump to pump water from our lake to fill our KOI pond. We have already had to replace the gaskets. When we called Water Pumps Direct they sent us to Wayne Pumps. We called Wayne and they sent two gaskets at no charge. We thought that was great service - but to no avail. The gasket are so this, made of paper, they have failed again. DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP!!!!

Expert Response
For water transfer applications like yours, a small submersible pump like this isn't the best option. You might want to consider a non-submersible pump that is designed for move a higher volume of water.

Manufacturer Response
Hi Bob,
Sorry to hear that you've encountered issues with your WAYNE TSC160. Have you contacted our customer services agents, since you received the replacement gaskets? I will echo the above response as well, when moving higher amounts of water, it's important to choose the utility pump best suited for the job. Our PLS100 Portable Water Sprinkling Pump would be perfect for this. Please follow this link to learn more: http://www.powerequipmentdirect.com/Wayne-PLS100-Water-Pump/p2771.html
Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you

I tried several different pumps. They just did not last. I have had this one for better than a year, perhaps 2years, and have had no problems except to replace a gasket. Other than that it has been great.

We bought the pump to get water from our cistern to our garden. We've only used it three or four times at this point, but it works very well and performs just as we thought it would.
We did not know what pump would be best for our application and the advice we got from Water Pumps Direct was extremely helpful.
