I had to change the oil before I started it. The oil was milky after 3 days outside in light rain. We will see if that happens again. Price is the main reason I tried it

These open generators are not waterproof. Providing proper protection, like a cover would be great for when not in-use, if you're unable to store indoors.

Well Built. Bought a few days ago and hooked up to existing natural gas connection after buying a few needed fittings. Started on first attempt with no adjustments required. Ran about one hour under small load. Unit seems to be solidly built with many nice features. Very satisfied to date. Will complete break-in period and have electrician upgrade my breaker panel and install proper wiring and interlock switch. Looking forward to having this beast power my entire house.

Have not had to use in emergency. Thank God. Have had test runs 4 times of 1 hour each and works great. I used interlocking device at my service disconnect. I am still looking for my free cover.

The generator showed up from PED (direct from Westinghouse) on a pallet in good shape, quick delivery. Gas plumbing required a x-over to 38" gas connector with metal to metal seal plus other iron - pretty simple with two trips to Home Depot. Gen set started first try. Break-in period for about three hrs then turned on my home inclusive of two A/C untis (one 4 ton and one 5 ton), no issues. I've only run it for about four hours total, but so far so good. The system is quite loud like most other larger gen sets, hence the "four" rating on performance. Seems to be a "horse" otherwise. Get you one, a cheap option for self install. I didn't choose to install smart switches, so no comment I flips some switches manually.

I am shocked at how great this generator is when the competition has equal generators at double the price. I bought it so I can use it when the power goes out, but now I use it to weld and use it instead of an extension cord. Break in period had me nervous, I was expecting heavy glitter in the oil. When that oil drained it was better than I expected, barely any metal flakes in the oil. The only downside I have is that I haven't received my free generator cover.

I have not yet had a chance to use it yet. we are currently getting a natural gas outlet installed and 2 electrical outlets installed I did start it up on propane. it started right up. I hope I never have to use it.

Great generator. Lot of power for the buck. Well built, it's a beast. In the instruction packet there's a form that if you leave a review you will get a free generator cover. I haven't seen it yet. I feel it's just to get you to give a great review.
