I could not get the battery to hold a charge. Called service. Said would email me. They did in about 2 to 3 weeks. . Said get battery tested and get back to them. Found battery was built wrong. red was negative and black was positive. Went and bought a new battery. $108.00 Didnt want to wait around for them.

I bought this generator about 5 years ago and yesterday/today I have used it for the 3rd time. Each time I used it performed flawlessly! I'm a 82 year old woman and found it easy to set up. I am visiting this site to learn about the 'twist-on' power cord at the front of the generator, which I was unable to plug-in and required assistence from a neighbor. Now, that the power has come back on, I have trouble removing the twist-on power plug. Thank God for having helpful neighbors. I love my Westinghouse generator and will put it to bed until the next power outage.
