Very Capable Generator Backup Power

I received this generator on a crate. It only took approximately 30 minutes to attach the wheels, stands, battery connector, and pour in the supplied engine oil. This generator will run on gasoline or propane but I connected a 5 gallon propane tank to it. It started right up and ran fine. The noise level is just moderate. I selected this generator for its voltage output (240V) and power (9500/8500W) making this the perfect whole house power backup. I added a power inlet box near my house electrical panel and wired it to both phases of my circuit breaker panel through an added breaker. This way I was able to use any house appliance, light, or wall power outlet in my house without running extension cords to the generator. It all worked very well for a very reasonable cost, With our grid power becoming more unreliable, this was a great solution rather than buying expensive battery backup at over ten times the cost.

Great machine but,hard starting when cold when running in gasoline mode.i believe it because of the "automatic choke".switch over to propane and it fires right up then after running a minute it starts on gasoline.

Great generator! After looking at all the reviews this generator was a no-brainer. Wanted to have one for when the power goes out during the winter or during hurricane season. Going to connect to my home for whole-house power.

We had gotten this generator to replace our old one. Assembly was easy, I love the fact that if needed i can use the remote start from the comfort of my bed to start the generator. We use our generator to supplement our solar on days that there isn't enough sun to cover our battery needs. That said, we run on propane, it's always great to supplement our battery bank. Only problem I have had is running out of propane. A 40lb tank running an 45 minutes to an hour a day last about 7 days. My other half has an alarm in his phone to check the hours weekly, even if hours don't deem it, he at least checks the oil in it and changes it if need be.

We can connect our generator directly into our 1,000 gallon household propane tank and plug the electrical cord into a switch box which supplies power to eight critical circuits, including the water pump, freezer, all kitchen circuits and important household circuits. Last Wednesday, 24 July, we lost primary power for almost 48 hours. Our generator performed flawlessly during that time.
