Alternative Back up System
By John H

Purchased 10/01/2024 |
Review Posted 12/08/2024
We live in a rural area (lots of trees & high winds). Power interruption happens on a monthly basis. Frozen lines are a ongoing prospect five months per year. Current systems offer the prospect of at least 20K and on occasion do not shut off when the regular system restarts. This fries every circuit board in the house. I elected to use the Westingtonhouse
12000W multi fuel system and had the electricians install a manual on/off switch to the start the genset. I then had a direct line to the genset to our 500 gal LP tank. I also have made provisions to allow adequate venting to protect the gen set from the elements. With electric start, system can be up and running in five minutes. Total cost was $3100 not $21000 and granted, I will not use the stove but all other critical systems, HVAC, well pump are functional well within the capacity of the system. It eliminates the chance, however slim, of causing systemic damage. John H

Nice generator
By Dana S
Maine
Purchased 11/13/2024 |
Review Posted 12/06/2024
This is a very rugged item. Has both gas and propane as fuel, allows stocking of either or both fuels, making it easier to get fuel should one or the other not be available. Battery comes with a charger to keep it ready to start either by push button or included remote starter. Also has pull start in case it's needed. Also has carbon dioxide shut off sensor, a great safety device.

Ran 25 Hours For Breakin - VERY Satisfied
By Dan G
South Carolina
Purchased 10/16/2024 |
Review Posted 11/04/2024
Bought this generator from Electric Generators Direct. The beat the estimated arrival date by 6 days. The Lift gate service was free. I installed a 50 amp connection and supplied the whole house* for 25 hours on propane. No problems. Used 30 lbs every 10 hours.
*Did not run electric ovens, stoves, clothes driers. Did supply 4ton HVAC heat pump (mild weather low duty on the inverter type system - NOT a 4 ton surge start system) deep well 1 hp pump, Grinder pump 1hp, on liquid effluent systems. Car lift in garage. One refrigerator/freezer and one freezer

Bought This Generator For The Next Power Outage
By John B
Florida
Purchased 10/05/2024 |
Review Posted 11/03/2024
Purchased this generator based on reviews and performance. Once it was delivered, it was assembled in short time and was running a few minutes after gassing up. I am still in the break in period, bringing it to operating temperature a few times and putting different loads on it. I will tell you it is a bit more mechanical sounding than the Generac 6500 I have been using, but don't have actual readings of db. The plan is to use it in my power panel for its 50A 240V capability in W Florida the next time power is out. I would recommend to others and would not hesitate buying again.
