I took delivery of the Yamaha EF6300iSDE two weeks ago. It came securely packed on a wood pallet. It weighs about 200 pounds and having only used a small 1kw generator in the past I was surprised that is so difficult to move around. Actually, it’s relatively easy to move it in a straight line, but it’s fixed wheels makes turning direction very difficult. In order to that I’ve had to slightly lift up one side of the generator, which is where the 200 pounds becomes a liability. As a work around, I ordered a push cart dolly on casters. I haven’t received it yet so I cannot say if that will make the problem better, or just different, but other reviewers seemed happy with that solution.
As far as performance, so far I have no complaints. I have a transfer switch and it easily powers two refrigerators, two computers and some task lighting. I tried to power my central a/c unit with it, but it was not powerful enough for the job. I’m using it as a back up in case of a power failure, so I’ll deal with the a/c issue if and when I have to, perhaps with a window unit.
The generator is quiet. I spent the extra money on an inverter generator for the low noise and the gas efficiency, and this generator delivers on both.
Set up was relatively straight forward, if a bit awkward. The oil reservoir is oddly shaped so it is difficult to tell when the oil is at the right level. I overfilled a bit, which required some clean up. Not a big deal, but annoying. The battery needs to be billed with electrolyte and then connected. Again, not too bad a job, but a bit awkward because of the location of the battery wires in a tight space.
Overall, I recommend. Just be aware of those few downsides.

This is our 3rd one in 7 years. We only get about 7000 hours out of each one. The only reason we stick with this model is because the work box it sets in was built to it's measurements.

7000 hours on an inverter generator like this is a pretty long life.

Yamaha Cost More Than The Others But Worth It In The End Quality

This generator turned out to be the best option to power my 5th wheel trailer on the road vs installing an onan under the bedroom. I put this generator on a platform hitch on the back of my trailer next to the 50 AMP power inlet. It couldn't be more conviently located. I made a 4 ft connector and installed the remote starter from Yamaha. The entire cost was less than half that of putting an onan under my bedroom and safer.

Ran Great During Last Two 2018 Noreasters in CT

I have had this generator since just after Hurricane Sandy. This generator is great. I don't use it very heavy during outages, it runs 12 to 16 hours on a tank.
I used one five gallon tank of gas per day. This really cuts down on the trips to the gas station during the storm!
The generator is also really quiet. I leave it running all night long without pissing off my neighbors!

This my second generator purchase, the first was an Yamaha EF2400ISHC. It served nicely during the power outage caused by Hurricane Irma but, I felt, more wattage would be a nice improvement. So after much research my choice was the Yamaha EF6300ISDE for its versatility and quality of power generated. I'm happy with my choice.

Wanted a Honda, but needed one to fit a specific spot in trailer....this one was the perfect size and I love it. I am so glad I found the Yamaha brand. My husband added straps to the lift ends, and two solid wood poles, make it easy to lift in and out of the trailer.
