I have delt with a number sump set up over the years. This is the best I have seen, having the pump alternate when they go on ensures reliability. Sump pumps fail and having a back up with a warning system really makes it easy to sleep at night. This set is not inexpensive but is a great value.

Reluctant to give 5 Stars, as that implies extra-ordinary. I am very pleased with the pump and service / delivery from SPD. The unit was super easy to install (almost too easy)and very quiet..... it almost bothers me that we never hear the sump pump(s) running and I have to keep checking the basement to make sure we are not flooding. (we could always hear the previous pump run and the water-hammer bang as it shut off). My only wish is that I could check the water level on my phone... and maybe there was a way to check recent cycles.

This dual pump system provides extra pumping capacity and a back-up in case one of the pumps fails. We didn't need a battery back-up since we have a whole-house generator, and this is one of the very few options for dual electric pumps. It was very easy to install, and the pump controller works perfectly. A bit pricey, but for us it's cheap insurance. The system arrived broken (the two cast iron pumps are connected with plastic pipes that broke in transit), but the manufacturer overnighted the necessary replacement parts.

After a sump pump failure I needed a system that would give me a sense of security. The sales rep from SPD told me of the mppii system. I hesitated, mostly because it was a little pricey. I finally decided to go ahead and order it. I ordered on a Thursday, and it was delivered on Saturday. It was packed very securely. The installation was very easy since it was completely assembled with only one pvc joint to glue. The system is very quiet. It has been working for two weeks, and I’m very pleased. I can’t speak to the durability, but all the components appear to be high end.
