Seeding Selection

Howdy manufacturers. Jon Hoch, founder of Power Equipment Direct, and today is a very exciting day here at PED, because it is Draft Day for our second annual Mower Madness tournament.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Mower Madness, what we do is we take the 64 lawn mower brands and we use bracketology to narrow them down and pit each other against in six rounds to determine what is the most liked lawn mower brand in America.

And last year, congratulations to Gravely for winning the tournament and doing a great job of getting their employees and their fans involved to spread the word to get them excited about the particular program.

So to honor them as well, we are going to use this Ariens bar stool to honor the Ariens company, to be our official draft board for this year. And we are going to do this very scientifically with the Law Offices of Dewey Cheatham & Howe. No, we're not. We're actually going to do something different.

We're using BINGO balls. That's right, B-I-N-G-O, right? And I stole this from my kids by the way, and they probably don't even know it.

But here's what we're going to do. We are going to draft the 64 seeds, randomly, using the BINGO balls. And we're also going to get the staff over at PED excited, and we're going to let them draft some picks as well.

Alrighty, we're back, and we're getting ready to draft - ready to spin the wheel. But first, I want to give a shout-out to six new participants in this year's tournament. So this year we have Acrease, Altoz, Ego, Fiskars, Jonsered, and Masport. So congratulations for making this year's tournament. Your balls are now in here, and you have a BINGO ball. Congratulations, you made it.

So here's what we're going to do. I'm going to spin the wheel, and I am going to draft the first four seeds, which will be the four number one seeds in the four different divisions. And I'm going to read out to you exactly who it is, so drum-roll please.

Alright, here it is. First four seeds of the Mower Madness 2015 tournament. Here we go. Number one, number two, number three, number four.

Alright, here we go. Here's the first seed. The first seed in the Bluegrass Division. The BINGO ball is B11, and B11 corresponds with Brute from Briggs & Stratton. Brute is the number one seed in that division.

The number two seed is B13. B13 corresponds with Country Clipper. Congratulations for being the number one seed in the Fescue Division.

The number three seed, or actually the number one seed, is N43. And N43 is MTD. Congratulations for the folks at MTD for being the number one seed in the Bentgrass Division.

And lastly, this is the number one seed in the Bermuda Division. And the ball is I18, and 18 is Earthwise. So congratulations for being the number one seed in the Bermuda Division.

So congratulations to our four number one seeds, and we're going to get the employees here at PED to spin the magic wheel and get some cool t-shirts like this.
