Ariens Snow Blowers Are The Mercedes-Benz Of Snow Throwers
By Robert F.

I bought my 2005 Ariens for $400. I change the oil I change both of belts. Use some WD-40 on the cables and controls. The machine has a 9.5 horsepower engine. Just had a first storm 10-in of hard packed snow had no problem whatsoever going through it. This is my second Ariens and I highly recommend them. I've seen a lot of orange snow throwers out there being used by public schools and DBW guys that work for the town. Why? Cuz it's one of the best snow throwers you can buy!!!

Purchased this model about 3 years ago here in Maryland just north of DC. It was 70 degrees in February and everyone thought it was overkill. T
his year we are setting record winter snows. I have gone through a 18 inches and we just had a 30+ inchers over the weekend and now just got pummeled with a blizzard and 20+ inches.
The 926LE handled 20+ inches with no problems and moved plowed-in driveway snow with ease. I just put it in low gear and it does the rest.
The electric start is a must. No back aches, heart attacks and long stays shoveling with a runny nose around here!
Excellent machine and easy to use. A+++++++++++.

Good website - easy purchase

I found Snow Blowers Direct.com when searching for a mat to put in the garage to collect the water and dirt that melts off my snowblower.
I thought the web site was easy to use and I found what I needed right away. Also, I saw some other things to buy later.
My order arrived promptly - as promised. I thought the prices were good and the entire process was a joy.

MeltBuddy Story
By Angela Raddant

Review Posted 11/03/2009

Did you hear the story of the MeltBuddy? What a great way to promote innovation among our youth!
In 2007 two young inventors, Matt and Sam, needed an invention for a school project competition and were inspired by the seemingly endless snowfall Iowa received that same winter.
They developed the idea of attaching a salt spreader to a snow thrower to help people save time clearing driveways.
The concept made it to the state competition, and Dan Ariens soon contacted the boys about their invention.
To ensure the boys received compensation for their idea Ariens Company helped them file a U.S. patent application, which eventually resulted in the MeltBuddy!

Bad Investment

I owned a 1974 ariens I bought it second hand that ran like a Swiss watch until the motor wore out so I spent $388 for a new motor and it is still running like new!Dependable, never needing repairs!! Then I bought a NEW ARIENS 926le for my uncle and found it was JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a car tech and have repaired cars for 20 years so I know what I'm talking about!!When Home Depot decided to sell ARIENS they cut corners and cheapened it to the extent it broke down ALL THE TIME! Worn belts,Frozen carb, lines, cables, broken drive pulleys, belts !!The works!! I finally bought all the UPDATED PARTS to fix the cheapened parts To the tune of $150 just for parts then 7 12 HOURS TO INSTALL THEM!! Now it moves and throws snow when it sometime starts, and doesn't need a new
drive belt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!($40!)
Buy a TORO or SIMPLICITY its WORTH the $ 1600 I wasted $998 on the ARIENS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!! I should have listened to the Ariens technicians when I talked with a snow blower repair shop! BEWARE OF other snow blowers !Try waiting a month to get a repair done on warranty!!!
