Every last detail of this log splitter is perfect. It has never dead headed even once, in fact it would probably cut even hard wood in half against the grain. It has a powerful motor and the speed of the splitter is fast and efficient.

My second Champion log splitter. Starts very easy, I upgraded to a bigger splitter and very pleased. Goes through 24" logs like nothing else. I highly recommend Champion products.

Delivery and unloading was smooth and easy. Put it together the day before Thanksgiving. Easy, straightforward assembly. The 7-ton Champion easily handles large Russian olive rounds. Easiest pull-start engine I have ever had. Very happy with it.

It starts on the first pull every time. I haven't found anything that I couldn't split. I mostly split red oak, white oak, and hickory.

The logs I needed to chunk down were upwards of 28 inches in diameter. When the ram engaged, there was very little extra effort by the machine to split even the toughest sections.
Two things: 1) The base of the ram, in the upright position, could be wider, and 2) the splitter head could be longer, by just a little bit, to catch and hold the log.
When I turned up the rpm, the ram went through the log with such force it "threw" the log out of the ram. I ran the engine just above idle, and it performed perfectly.

I purchased the Champion 37-ton horizontal and vertical log splitter with the intention of splitting wood for about 4 1/2 months. I have completed the job in one month. It starts with a half pull every time. It runs smoothly strong and fast.

This is my third splitter and will last me from now on. I improved the other two with features that come standard on this model. I didn't get it for its speed, but it's no slouch in that department. I got it for its POWER, of which it has a simple abundance of. NOTHING stands in its way, NOTHING! If you want a splitter that will take everything that you can dish out and more, this is the ONE!
