I installed this on a 2016 RZTS with the 54" fabricated deck. I was concerned it was for the stamped deck, but it is actually for both. For the fabricated deck, you don't use the small plastic piece. Cuts well, but still leaves the occasional bit of clumps. My grass was a bit wet. Dry grass would be much better. Easy to install, and the plug is easily removed.

Everything needed to convert my deck to a sealed mulching deck was in the box. The instructions were great, though it took some "messing" with the plastic and bolts on the bar to get it to fit. This cannot be held against anyone though, it's normal to understand how it all fits together. Once I figured it out, it was a perfect fit.

I have mowed 3 times with it, and I’m happy with the performance. I cut at 3.5-inch height. The first cut of the year left some mohawks, but the second cut didn’t miss any grass. The minor downside is that mine didn’t come with a chute prop for a fabricated deck only a stamped deck. So, I just removed the chute. I installed the mulching deck on a 54 in Cub Cadet ultima.

The product is well worth the money, very durable, strong blades, kit is easy to install and remove if necessary. The only downside is you will have to mower more often in a higher setting.

The mulching blades and kit have prevented the need to go over leaves and grass a second or third time. Cutting time and fuel have been reduced to almost half!

For the price, you can’t beat it. It’s a completely different cut and mulches very well. A great example of its mulching power is when the dog leaves a tennis ball in the middle of the yard. Super simple to install and great quality.

The mulch plug is a very poor fit for my 54” fabricated deck. The gap between the deck and the plug runs inward from about 3/8 inch slanting to about 1/8 inch.
Consequently, dust and debris blow all over me and the mower, and the top of the deck. I have a CC 760ES with a mulch plug that fits snugly, and I expected the same fit from this plug. Otherwise, the product performs as expected and seems to be of good quality.
