Love The Saw Hate That No Parts Are Available

This was my 2nd PS 510 first one scored the piston after 8 years of moderate usage - but excellent maintenance. This one was bought in 2017 just after Makita bought them, and had the same usage, 4-5 gal of fuel a year. But in only 5 years the cylinder is shot. Dealer knows my usage and care and said he figured the materials were getting cheapened and the other owner's experience has born it out. It WAS a GREAT brand, an excellent saw - NEVER failed to start -...... till it didn't. VERY unhappy that I'm going to have to buy a Stihl - but I'm figuring THEY won't be bought out and drop parts production after a few years.

I have owned more pro saws than I care to count and use them daily. Although this is not considered a pro saw you would never know it if they didn't tell you. I actually own its pro twin the 5105 and can't tell a difference in the cut. Smoothest saw I have ever run. Highly recommend.
