Flotec FP0FDC Reviews & Ratings
Bought Two Of Them But No More
By Hayden
Connecticut
Review Posted 03/23/2025
I have owed two of these. Ran them maybe 10-12 hours each, during the summer. Both lasted 1 year. Two expensive for its service life. It's also a pain to use vegatable oil to grease them for each use.

Manufacturer Response
Hayden I am sorry you had issues with the 12-volt transfer pump. Please contact Pentair customer service at 800 365 6832 to see if these are covered under warranty. These pumps are not designed for continuous duty and can have the impellers replaced.

Pump Burned Out Really Quickly
By Andrew B.

Review Posted 07/31/2019
We purchased this pump for our local city for them to use for watering their flowers. It completely burned up within the first hour that they had it. It pumped a nice amount of water per minute but as soon as it didn't have water in the tank it melted.

Expert Response
Very sorry you experienced problems with your pump. Unfortunately, these pumps can't be run dry, which it clearly states in the owner's manual. Also by operating the pump in this fashion, it voids Flotec's warranty. Always make sure to review the owner's manual prior to operation.

A real workhorse. Like the energyzer bunny it just keeps going and going. Pumping water away from my house and low spots in a long driveway. Buying another one soon to speed up my water transfer chore.

Works Perfect For What I Need and Didn't Disappoint
By Marc G.
South San Francisco, California
Purchased 10/13/2018 |
Review Posted 11/06/2018
I'm using it to pump water from a 420 gallon rain water storage tank. I had a cheap system prior which was about the same price and did not work well. I have a small solar panel charging a batter and use it to run the pump and it works perfectly. Though, it's on the lower end of GPMs, I did expect it to pump more than it does but, I have no reason to know what 7.5 GPM means until now. You do need a male to male adapter (female-female) to connect one side if you use it like I do. If your hoses don't connect to anything else, it's not a problem.

Great For Mobile Farm Use
By Jeff M.
Havana, Florida
Purchased 09/26/2018 |
Review Posted 10/17/2018
We are still without power at the farm due to Hurricane Michael. We had water stored in a 1,000 gallon “water wagon”. I used the pump for the first time today to fill a 100 gallon tractor PTO sprayer. It worked like a champ and filled the sprayer tank in about 10-15 minutes. Looking forward to using it again out in the field pumping from the wagon into sprayer tanks for herbicide applications and for assistance during controlled burns. It will save a lot of time not having to drive equipment up to a mile back to the well.
