This sump pump is reliable and senses water is present will pump down to quarter of an inch and turn off. I have two of these and one is three years old and pumps pool water the other newer one pumps Storm drain water. Both work great.

We bought our house in 1987 and this Flotec 1775A 1/4 HP pump came with the house. Since that date, we have had to replace our sump pump twice, with this same exact model. Once in 2005 and a second time in October 2024. For a 1/4 HP Sump Pump to work almost 20 years before having to be replaced is pretty good, I think. (As an aside, we have always used Flotec Sump Pump 1775 A with check valve PW73-63. This time we had to buy the check valve from CLR Marine.)

Despite my trying to address it just will cycle way too much, my skimmer pump that is just next to this one works much better this also does not pump down like a skimmer pump would. Not that that's this much of a problem but it cycles on and off even when there's no water there

Pump was DOA. WPD arranged for replacement to be sent. Just got another email that replacement would be delayed for the second time.

This pump worked great in getting the water out of a wet basement. Other pumps burt out because they did not shut off. This pump automatically shuts off if there is not enough water. I love it!!

Bought this to replace a 6-mo old supposedly automatic pump with an internal float switch from another manufacturer. Using it to drain a below-grade patio area that can flood into the basement in heavy rain, so it’s very important. Proved to be too unreliable at actually starting when required, so decided to give this one a shot. Been using this one for about 3 months now, and it has performed flawlessly. It was more expensive than the last, but it was worth every penny more. Has started reliably every time, operates quietly and moves water out fast, even with a 3’ lift. It’s also very compact and as unobtrusive as could be hoped. It was recently put to the true test during hurricane Florence, and the Flotec pumped water as fast as she could drop it. Thanks for a great product.

We have a window well issue at our home. When we are expecting 2 inches or more of rain, the window well fills up. Without the use of this Flotec pump, the water would come through our window into our finished basement. The beauty of this pump is that we can plug it in when we are expecting the rain and not have it run constantly. The pump goes through various cycles when it detects water accumulation. This Flotec pump always does its job and has saved us from costly repairs. I highly recommend this product!
