It has an easy starting. The mower worked fairly well plowing through tall grass & weeds, with little effort in areas not mowed for long periods.

A great little mower for a small yard. It's easy to start and the variable self-propelled let’s you walk at your own pace. It's good at mulching leaves.

This is one mean machine. It might as well be one of their cars. The bail clicks, the gas cap clicks, the oil dipstick is the best ever, and all one has to do to start it, cold or hot, is to hold the bail handle and pull the rope. An 8-year old has the strength to start it, that's how easy it is.
On the downside, it has height adjusters on each wheel, which is more of an inconvenience than a down. Then there's that Smartdrive drive mechanism debacle. It's impossible to hold a steady speed, and it makes your thumbs tired. It needs a notched system that you can lock at one speed, like most other mowers I've had. That aside, this is one fine machine. 4 mph is fast.

This mower was exactly what I was looking for. A light, powerful, and peppy mower. No gimmicks.
I have a hilly lakefront lawn. The mower Is used where the rider cannot go. The mower must be manhandled at times. Less add ons mean less weight and things to break. The mower self propels itself up the hill.
I did notice, only because of someone else’s review, is the distance from the blade to the front of the deck. Interesting if the designer could shorten that distance.
I am now interested in a “hover” mower.
