I now own 3 of these mowers! My only complaint is that all 3 of them came in the mail with some sort of damage already. They were simple damages like a bent lever, or wheel or something but its brand new so there should be 0 damages! Other than that, I love the performance and handling! It makes mowing all ditches 100x’s smoother than any 2-wheel self-propelled. Definitely get you one and you will not regret it!

I rec'd the mower and there was an oil stain on the box. I didn't think much of it until I tried to start it. After following the setup instructions It would not start no matter what. I finally took it to a dealer which was 12 miles away. They told me it was shipped with oil in the air filter? They put a new air filter in and it started. I still had to pay for this and will seek reimbursement from Mowers Direct.

Thank you for purchasing the HU800AWDX/BBC but apologize for your frustration. It sounds like the mower must have been tilted over during shipment and the little oil that was in the engine must have come out. The mower is shipped with the oil that is needed for the mower in an individual bottle. Again, sorry for the inconvenience but we are glad that you mower is working great for you.

Best mower I've ever had. I had a problem with it staying cranked at first because I found out the factory had the wrong air filter in it. After replacing it cranked right up on the first pull. Cuts my grass very well, I love my new Husqvarna Mower.

It’s awesome except the wheels are wobbly like everyone else’s mowers. I thought by spending that much I would get a quality somewhere in the range of a Honda. That is what I use with my boss mowing his yards and I really like the tight fit of the bearing to wheel and axle and am seriously considering just getting my own fleet of Honda’s.
I have 4 Husqvarna, 2 AWD and two rear and I really love how both AWD mowers actually suck like a vacuum. I have people asking if I will rake their lawns with my mower now. I don’t really understand how and can cause a sucking effect but I will tell you if you look down at the ground with any mower you will find only Husqvarna AWD will be sucking everything up from about 5 inches out of the bottom and it’s so awesome. It really makes a yard look sharp and clean.

I am purchasing my second HU800AWDX because my first of 4-years-old burned up in a structure fire. This is great for hilly terrain when you need it to effortlessly crawl up the steep banks or even slippery hilly terrain as it has lots of power (a must) when dealing with a heavily loaded bag as 2WD becomes useless with the heavy filled bag. The engine is excellent and no matter what or how long it sat, it took one pull for it to crank up.
The only drawbacks I have found as every production mower will have one or two is this mower needs a freewheel a few inches forward letting go of the drive handle beforehand before you pull it or coast it backwards (as in back down the grade you went up or it will drag the wheels down the grass not disengaging from the drive). Can be a little aggravating but the more you use this mower, the better you get at doing these simple things. Definitely not a reason to not buy it. The second is the drive wheels are not impervious to abuse which can happen when you forget as you are cutting grass like a madman with a 4WD off-road machine throwing this thing around stupidly. My rear wheels which are held on the rear axle by a heavy-duty exterior C-clip came loose popping off the axle and disengaging the wheel from the drive. I pushed it hard laterally a lot and this was the result. These aren't bulletproof, but treat them with a little respect and you won't have problems.
Obviously, it could be made better but then what do you expect for $650 with AWD. Adjustable wheels, bagger, starting up, and power was never an issue but the mulch door will not latch and the clippings will accumulate if you don't do your part in cleaning it. Of course, the deck wash system is a joke like every one of them are. Don't tip it on its’ side to clean instead always tip up. I would buy again and am will be doing so.

I bought this mower because I need 4 wheel drive for the hilly terrain. I got the 190cc Honda engine because it is much more powerful than the 160cc engine even though it's only 30cc more it will cut through tall grass without bogging. The mower runs good, but I am not completely please with the drive wheel engagement even though I have adjusted it several times. It doesn't always seem to engage fully.
Okay now the bad part. There is some assembly required and the manuals included were for a generic Husqvarna mower and one was in Spanish and the other French each had a couple of paragraphs in English. Well, the handle would not release and the directions were of no help. I tried for over an hour and then finally the control handle broke. I called Mower Direct on Friday and talked to technical and they said to pull the dead man's switch. I said what is that and the tech lady condescendingly said 'is this your first mower?' They said to send pictures which I did. Then I called back and tech support was closed. Then I called Saturday and Tech support doesn't work on week-ends. So since the part broke when I was trying to install they were going to send me the part free. After two more calls and 3 emails I finally got them to send me the correct manual in English. I received the part, but there were no instructions on how to install. I have a pretty mechanical mind and an Electrical Engineering degrees as well as an MBA and was finally able to install after an hour or so. The Mowers Direct support was minimal and they did not help very much at all.

It is easy to use, and quite powerful. It works well, and after shipping, one part arrived broken. One call to the company, I found a local repair shop, it was covered under warranty, and now, it is perfect and works great! You won't go wrong buying a Husqvarna/Honda mower!

This is one of the best investments we've ever made!! We are contractors and have many ditches and slopes that 2-wheeled mowers have too much difficulty climbing! This mowers saves us soooo much time because otherwise we would have to use a weed-eater!! We've only had it for a little more than a month so I can't speak for its durability just yet! However, i am about to order another one today for our other crew!! I would highly recommend this mower for everyone!! Even on flat surfaces, it makes mowing so much easier and smoother!!
