It's A Little 'tank' With A Nice Cut
By Pat T.

Purchased 07/01/2013 |
Review Posted 08/19/2014
I purchased the previous model, which is essentially this model.

I have a little bit of land and mow 3+ acres of it, that includes mowing around utility poles, trees, pool, barn, house, landscaping, fences and 800' of road frontage. After going through several residential riding mowers (2 Sears, Yardman, RanchKing, Dynamark) over the past 14 years, I decided to step it up a bit with this zero-turn. I researched quite a bit and this mower gave me the best bang for my buck.

I had it delivered to a local commercial/industrial power lawn service company. They are not a dealer for Husqvarna but they are for Dixie Chopper, Toro, Simplicity, LawnBoy, etc. They really wanted to sell me a model which they offer but admitted they couldn't match the value (cost/features) bundled in the MZ6128ZT. They accepted delivery (good thing since they have a loading dock and fork-lifts & I don't), un-crated it, set it up, leveled the deck and readied it for mowing -all for a low, 1 hour service charge. During their testing, they were VERY impressed with the MZ6128ZT and informed me what a great deal it was.

I have mowed two seasons with this mower and I am impressed with its really nice cut and how very much quicker it is over my other garden tractors.

It has very thick, sturdy construction and one can tell it has a commercial quality feel to it. I am not easy on mowers and I have not been easy on this one. I want to get 3 seasons of mowing under its belt to see if it is really the tank it seems to be.
My only gripe is the hour meter didn't appear to be working, right out of the box. I contacted Husqvarna and they were very helpful, offering to replace it but I decided to troubleshoot the problem myself. All test points were good when checking the different wiring harnesses. I'm not sure what I did, but after reconnecting everything, the hour meter was now read-able and it had in fact been keeping track of the hours. (And before anyone says anything, yes I knew that the blades needed to be engaged and the mower in motion capable, before the hour meter comes on). No issues or breakdowns in the couple seasons since I purchased.

Great mower, very poorly crated
By Barry C.

Review Posted 08/22/2012
Have only used twice, but it does a GREAT job, and quickly.

My complaint is about the way it was crated. Very difficult to "unpack". Needed an overhead crane to get it out of the crate.

Hope the guy that designed the crate did not design the mower..........
