The HydroCheck HC7000v2 Utility Pump Switch controls the on/off function of any utility pump. A typical utility pump requires manual operation and will burn out if it is allowed to run dry for too long. During heavy rains, this can result in having to "babysit" the pump. Complete with built-in alarms, the HC7000v2's dual-sensor design automatically turns the pump on when water is detected and turns it off when the pump has reached its minimum pumping capabilities.
The Hi-Lo sensors are adjustable which allows the user to configure the switch to perfectly suit their specific application. To help ensure maximum water removal, an Additional Run Time can be programmed using the Smart Button. The Additional Run Time begins once the water has dropped below the lower sensor.
How It Works
The placement of the sensors determine when the control module turns the pump on, and when it switches into the Additional Run Time Mode before turning the pump off. Following the sequence below, the operation is as follows:
1. The pump is off when the water is below the Hi-Sensor.
2. When both sensors are in water the pump is turned on.
3. The pump stays on while the water is between both the Hi and Lo-Sensors.
4. When Lo-Sensor is out of the water, controller switches to the Additional Run Time Mode.
5. The pump is turned off when the Additional Run Time has expired.
*Refer to the pump's manual for the exact minimum water level specifications.
