My Harbor Freight Air Compressor Outlasted This Dryer.....

I purchased this dryer 5 years ago, expecting my then 3 year old harbor freight compressor to die, so I could upgrade to a bigger Ingersoll compressor. Well, I went out to the garage and turned this on, and nothing. No compressor start up. Literally 4 days prior, I had ordered an Emax 7.5hp 3 phase compressor and dryer for my new shop. This one apparently died of a broken heart. I replaced it with a Harbor Freight dryer that was roughly $400 shipped. Not sure if I'll spend the money to get the Ingersoll dryer fixed or not. I could have almost had a new harbor freight dryer per year for what I spent on this one. Nobody builds anything to last anymore......it's disappointing.

We bought the air dryer after using a desiccant dryer with poor results. We not only wanted to avoid rusting all our air tools but we needed dry air for painting.
We also use an Eastwood dual blaster with bicarbonate media. Without the dryer the bicarb would clump and clog the blaster after just 10-15 minutes of use. The air dryer immediately pulled water from our air lines and discharged it through a discharge line into a bucket. (Zip tie to bucket - discharges under pressure).
We went through 150 pounds of media on a fairly high humidity day (75%) in Michigan with ZERO clumping. This product is easy to hook up (you'll need some whip hoses/adapters and quick disconnects)... but just turn it on... let it warm a few minutes and then put it under an air load (pressurize system)... and it's automatic.
As you use the air it pulls out the water... simple... simple... simple.
