The motor is fine so far. Not too happy I was sent last year's model. I even called and asked if it was a 2022 motor and was told it was because they sell a lot of motors. I received a 2021.

This kicker replaced a 15 HP 2-stroke and is perfectly capable of moving my boat. The extended shaft works well with the bracket in the full-up position - so all I have to do is use the electric tilt to bring the motor in and out of the water. I use a steering link to my primary motor for steering from the helm. I may add a remote throttle control also. The motor starts easy, I like having the pull start as backup. It's nice that it will charge the batteries during operation. The throttle stays where you set it for hands-free trolling. The one problem I have had is getting the tilt lock bracket locked when the motor is in the full-up position. It seems the straps are just a hair too short for that. But I have a transom bracket I use when on the road, so it has not been a problem. This is a great motor - highly recommended.

I am extremely pleased with this motor. It meets the requirements of my local lake, which has a 10 HP limit. The only thing I changed was the propeller. It came with a 10 diameter by 7 pitch four blade, which was designed for uses that I don't use. I replaced it with a 9 pitch prop, and now I cruise along at a nice 15.5 MPH. It seems to be easy on gasoline, as I started with a full tank, and with the 2-hour break in procedure plus 7 four-hour fishing trips, the tank is still two-thirds full. It goes without saying I am really happy with the results I'm getting with my Mercury Command Thrust Pro Kicker 9.9 HP motor.
