Best I have owned
By William W.
Branch, Michigan
Review Posted 07/22/2011
I started with a Sears rider I bought used in 1972 and it was a piece of junk from the start. It ran but was made very cheap and broke down often. I borrowed a friend's John Deere and another friend's Case and both were good tractors. I purchased a White in 1977 and it worked OK until 2000 and blew up. I bought a Cub Cadet (nothing but problems and blew up at 100 hours) I am a firm believer in maintenance and change oil AND filter every 25 hours and grease also.
I purchased this Lt 125 Snapper and so far it is the BEST mower by far as far as engineering goes. As far as reliably is concerned I haven't owned it long enough to tell but have friends now who have had theirs for YEARS and are happy, this is why I have tried the Snapper.
I am delirious with the performance of this machine and the way it handles. It out turns any machine I have ever used by far. It cuts with twin blades and cuts great. The controls are easy to reach and the seat is adjustable, far better than any other with the possible exception of a John Deer.

Junk

I have 2 acres. In second season I mowed with this junk the metal ripped on the hood from vibration causing it to fall off, the front wheel spindles both needed replaced, in shop for 2 months due to lack of part availability.
Before I got this I mowed and maintained a Craftsman for 14 years!
2 years into my Snapper I bought a Husqvarna Zero Turn, goodbye Snapper.

My new Snapper 23 hp!
By Roger Moraes

Review Posted 08/15/2009
I own a home with about 1.3 acres. I used to have a smaller mower with a rear engine and 10 HP.
I was going to buy a John Deere. I decided to look around a little more and found the Cub Cadet with the same features as the Deere. I hopped online and tried to find better deals.
I was always very happy with my older Snapper, so I looked for Snapper online. When I found this one I gave it a shot.
In 3 days I had it at my door! I uncrated it and installed the steering wheel and the seat.
Today was the first day that we mowed the yard with the new mower- I was impressed! My grass looks 100% better in 1/2 the time!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Don't buy those cheap units at Lowe's or Home Depot- SNAPPER IS THE WAY TO GO!
Thanks, Mowers Direct.com!

Great Mower for a Great Price
By Vidya

Review Posted 06/28/2009
I recently got the Snapper 46" 23HP SNAPPER mower from Mowers Direct.com for a really good price. I was on the wall between a John Deere and Snapper but decided to go with the Snapper due to their reliability and quality combined with a good price from Mowers Direct.com.
The delivery person was very professional and since I ordered the Lift Gate service, he unloaded the mower and pulled it into my garage.
The mower was nicely packed in a wooden crate and it took a while to pry out the wooden bars of the crate. You would need a additional hand if you are not into medium labor intensive tasks.
The model for the mower I got was LT100. Followed the instruction to setup the mower and then found that the mower's battery was dead since it was a year old. Took it to an Authorized Snapper dealer shop and they charged it fully for $5 bux. It took 24hrs to get the battery fully charged. Popped in the charged battery and turned on the ignition and to my surprise the mower started on the very first turn.
The mower is really comfortable to ride and quite powerful to get the job done. I have a nearly flat terrain with some major obstacles and lot of angled corners. The turning radius is good and this mower mows in the reverse. You have to hold the reverse engage key in the ON position while mowing in the reverse.
The noise level it higher than I would want. Next time I will remember to put on my ear muffs. It does seem to drink gas. I mowed for 25 mins and found that the mower drank 1/2 gallon of gas.
Looking at the quality of the build, this mower should last a lifetime if maintained properly.

Follow-up after 9 hours of Snapper use
By Ko
Noblesville, Indiana
Review Posted 06/18/2009
I read the new review and wanted to comment to other potential buyers.
The set-up instructions from the factory explain that the battery had a date on it and that before using it, depending on that date it must be charged (recharged) for 8-10 hours prior to the first use of the mower. I needed to do that.
After that charge was completed in my own home for the Snapper I purchased, NO PROBLEM, NO need to replace with anything else! The battery has had no issues, problems or needed anything else in the 9 hours of use it has given me already this summer.
Also, I have uneven property to mow and managed to get the mowing deck out of adjustment so that it mowed unevenly. I've got a comment for you on that... WOW- was that an easy adjustment, with NO tools!
That isn't to say you couldn't have used tools but "I" didn't end up needing any for the job. It's a great design for a correction to what otherwise would be a big problem. I just followed the well written instructions in the owners manual, and within 5 minutes (seriously- 5 minutes!) it mowed the lawn nice and even.
Heck, I'll admit I was putting off going out and looking it over to see how to do it, or what I was going to need to do. But, there was no reason for my putting it off - it was so easy!
So keep Snapper in business as they have a great product in my opinion, so far so good. I've got lots of 'stuff' (trees, etc.) to trim around and I just slow it way down and manage to get pretty darn near things to trim, saving a lot of time and energy with the push mower, every time!
Give one a try- I don't think you will be disappointed... but don't forget to READ the owners manual, which was important for knowing how to use the mower, and what to do when anything needs to be done.
I knew I'd seen instructions for the deck, so I knew where to look for help- I just didn't have any idea how easy it was going to be to make a correction to my Snapper.
Have a great summer- I'm still lovin' my 46” Snapper mower!

SNAPPER PURCHASE
By ALAN
RHINEBECK, New York
Review Posted 06/02/2009
I recently purchased a Snapper tractor from Mowers Direct and was pleased with it with one exception.
The battery does not have enough amperage to start the 23 horse twin.
I contacted my local Snapper dealer and was told that I needed at least 290 amps. The battery in the tractor that I purchased was only 260 amps.
My local dealer kindly replaced the under-powered battery with a new 290 amp battery.
Other than this small problem, I was happy with the purchase experience with Mowers Direct and think I saved about $700.

46" Snapper LT100 7800342 -Unbelieveable!
By Ko

Review Posted 05/23/2009
What a happy ending. I've shopped around, been out of work, back to work several times, keeping me from a new mower. I wore out 2 push mowers in the meantime.
I wanted a new mower so I could stop push mowing the 1 acre now for 2 years.........and the 46" Snapper 23hp from Mowersdirect seemed too good to be true! BUT, IT WAS PERFECT!
I placed my order last Wednesday about 10 pm on-line and by Friday at 7am the R&L delivery folks called me and said they would be there before noon to deliver! WOW! just over 24 hours to my doorstep in Noblesville, Indiana!
And...........I was soooooooooooooo pleased. It's in great condition. We uncrated it using claw hammers, assembled the steering wheel and seat, charged the battery (8 hours) and started that Snapper up and pulled it off of the crate.
It used to take 3-4 hours to mow, trim and weed whack the lawn with three of us (2 teens and me). Today it took 1.5 hours at a very moderate speed.
I'm not only impressed, I'm HAPPY. The lawn looks GREAT - the uneven places and tree roots were all easily managed using the easy mower deck adjustment - fantastic Snapper product. And...don't let the name fool ya. It isn't a slow turtle. If you want it to run like a rabbit, it will!
You hear about scams, and to be careful on internet deals. Well, this one was for real, and I'm so very pleased. My 21-year-old daughter walked up to me and hugged me and said, "You are happy today, mama. Is it the mower and how easy it all will be now to keep up this summer?" YES, indeed!
I would have had to pay $1899 Plus 7 percent tax and delivery costs at the local dealer for a 42" Snapper 23 hp that I'd already priced. MowersDirect.com saved me......almost $400 of my hard earned savings, so I can use that for the re-painting on the house this year! And- I got a larger mowing deck!!!!
THANK YOU FOR THE EASY TO USE WEB-SITE, SAFE PROCESSING OF MY PAYMENT, UNBELIEVEABLE -QUICK- DELIVERY, RELIABLE DELIVERY WITH R&L, MOWER IN PERFECT CONDITION, AND THE START OF A GREAT SUMMER.
THANK YOU!!!!
