If you're looking for a heavy-duty pump, choose an iON. These pumps were originally sold only by plumbers, contractors, and plumbing distributors. Now you have the opportunity to buy what the professionals do.
These pumps are built to last, and that's the bottom line. With a volute and motor housing made of cast iron and stainless steel, they will provide years of reliable operation. They also use a cast iron impeller which extends the life of the pump even longer.
iON pumps use high-efficiency motors that cost less to operate and discharge more water than standard pumps. If you don't believe it, compare similar HP pumps to these and you'll see for yourself that these pumps use fewer amps to operate and provide a higher output.
The last reason why these pumps earn our recommendation is because of the float switch. They are adjustable and can be mounted on the discharge pipe. This is a great feature if you have a deep sump pit or if you live in an area with a high water table. You can increase the amount of time between cycles and extend the life of your pump. Last, but not least, since these pumps use a piggyback type switch, they can be replaced if necessary without having to replace the pump.

Durable Powerful Sump Pump

I've been running two of these (primary and backup) in my basement for over a decade and they are truly a beast with how much water they pump out. I have a battery backup system and since these draw less power than any other half horsepower pump they are my preferred. This was a replacement for the original one I purchased in 2007 which the outlet port I cracked by accident when I was swapping a bad check valve out.

Great Pump

This is a great pump. If you ever sat up all night babysitting your sump pump through a severe storm, you will really appreciate the power and reliability of this pump. This is my second Ion 3/4 hp pump. The first worked flawlessly for the past 10 years. I recently purchased another and retired my first into backup duty. My basement now stays dry during the worst of rain events and I sleep a lot better through storms.

Only have used the pump for about a month but so far its a good pump. Just wish the float shaft was longer to take more water out of the crock. Shaft is only about 12” and crock is about 21”. I may try a different float

I currently have a 1/3 hp Hydromatic Pentair Water sump pump that the builder put in about 2 years ago. It almost was overwhelmed a few times over the past two years. With the heavy rains in PA this spring my basement flooded twice as the pump could not handle the water intake during the storms. In addition I have a high water table. Would you recommend a bump up to this 3/4 hp beast? I want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to prevent a future flooded basement.

High water table basement. In heavy rains, I sometimes need to use two 1/2 HP sump pumps to handle flow. Would this be a good primary pump or should I use a sewage pump?

Hi Jim. I know the float can be attached to discharge line. I'm wondering what the maximum On/Off points are. Looking to figure out how many inches of water will be pumped out per cycle. Thanks.
