Best 16" Chainsaw For Homeowner

The Dolmar PS-35 16" chainsaw has produced great results in my yard. I bucked a cord of small oak with it and never flinched. At first I tried to really pull start it but found out after the first pull all you need is about a 3 inch rolling of the fingers and it started. Its light enough to go for a while without my back tiring out.

I got my Dolmar PS-35 from Chain Saws Direct really fast. I read the directions and it started right up. The saw did not put oil to the chain. The book said to turn the screw on the bottom clockwise. I turned it a quarter turn and it stopped.
I called Dolmar support and they said not to force it. I took it to a warranty service center. They said all it needed was to turn the screw and could not charge for warranty. I had to pay $46 to get my saw. If you need help go to the service place, not the support!!!!!!

Great Homeowner Saw

I had been looking at the smallest Stihl until I stumbled into the Makita version of this saw on clearance for $156. It's been run hard and often since I got it, recently being called into duty to remove a 65 foot 22" diameter ash tree that fell in our back yard.
It's been a really solid performer. It starts well and runs strong, and isn't overly heavy. I've been careful to run non-ethanol fuel and it runs like a champ.

Got Dolmar 35 chain saw look well belt put gas in it started on the first pull then wooding run form then on had to have it ship back to a Dolmar factor.

Saw ran lousy out of the box. No power under load at all. Very frustrating. I played with the low speed carb adjustment and performance began to improve.
I ended up back at the factory setting so I think it just had some gunk in it. The saw now starts super easily, many times with one pull - even when cold. Runs strong and idles perfectly as well just like the professional Dolmar saws I have. Great little saw.

Great power but a few problems

I used this saw for a few days cutting some cedars for fence posts. The saw performs flawlessly 80% of the time but some times it just bogs down when you give it some throttle and it dies.
